Willie Hayes Obituary

Willie Lee Hayes, 74, of 148 Andes Drive Danville, Virginia passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023 at Sovah Health Danville.

Born April 27, 1949 in Danville, Virginia he was the son of the late Charles Hayes and Nelly Mae Crawley Hayes. He was married to the late Gladys Robertson Hayes.

Survivors include one daughter Latoya Robertson; two sons Christopher Robertson and Corey Robertson; four sisters Shirley Hayes Nance, Marie Hayes Clax, Joanna Hayes all of Danville, Virginia, and Vanessa Hayes Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland; four brothers Donald Hayes of Landover Maryland, Ralph Hayes of Greenville, South Carolina, Larry Hayes of Danville, Virginia, and Jerry Hayes of Canada; three grandchildren Jhasiyah Richardson, Gakoria Robertson, and Steven Ferguson. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by one sister Diane Hayes; and three brothers Frankie Hayes, Charles, and Irvin Hayes.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Greater United Holiness Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM.
