Willie Boe Akers,68, of Danville Virginia passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at Duke HomeCare & Hospice.
Born October 25, 1957, in Virginia he was the son of the late Archie Akers Sr. and Martha Chattin Akers. He was married to Celestine H. Akers, who survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters Brittany Akers, Morgan Akers; one special nephew Derek (DJ) Watlington; two sisters Martha Ann Akers and Margie Penn (John); three brothers James Akers (Bonnie), Johnnie Akers (Iris), Archie Akers (Janice); a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his brother Asa William Akers.
The family will receive family and friends at 207 Rocklawn Ave, Danville, VA 24540 from 4-6. There will be a public viewing at Wilson’s Funeral Service and Cremation on Thursday May 14, 2026, from 3 PM to 5 PM
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2 P.M. at True Faith Baptist Church 91 Baltimore Ave, Danville, VA 24541. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 1PM to 2 PM.
