William Robert Adams Jr. age 75, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on January 18th, 2026 in Danville, Virginia.
Born on April 14, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, Bill was the son of the late Stella Bailey Adams
and the late William Robert Adams. He grew up in Danville, Virginia, where his lifelong love of
music began and flourished. Bill was best known for his passion for music, which brought him his greatest joy and allowed him to touch countless lives. A talented keyboardist, he played in several bands over the years, including City Council, Fox & Company, The Soul Masters, Everyday’s Monday, 58 West, and The Stone Canyon Band. Through his music, Bill connected with people in a way that words alone could not, leaving behind memories that will continue to resonate with all who heard him play.
Above all, Bill cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia Adams; his sister,
Anne Gaskin (Neal); his sons, Ian Adams (Lauren) and David Adams (Katie); and his beloved
grandchildren, Liam Adams, Charlotte Adams, and Evelyn Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella Bailey Adams and William Robert Adams, andhis brother, Kenny Adams. Bill will be remembered not only for his musical talent, but for the joy, warmth, and spirit he shared so freely.
