On June 4, 2025, Tammy peacefully entered the arms of Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer, immediately hearing the words "well done my good and faithful servant."

Tammy Hogan Spence, 63, was born February 4, 1962, in Danville, Virginia to the late Wayne Hogan and Hilda Rigney Hogan, who survives. She was married to the late David Spence.

She found joy in the simple things in life. Her devotion to Bible studies was the cornerstone of her life.

She had a passion for southern cooking and loved sharing her meals with those she cared about. She was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. Kindness came naturally to her. It was simply who she was and everyone she encountered felt it.

In addition to her mother survivors include one daughter Tamara Spence (Rob); one son Josh Amos; two stepdaughters Nicole Dockery and Carla Thompson; one brother Gary Hogan; one grandson Carter Thompson; special friend Betty Jo Hudgins; Beloved cat Bunky and dog Nova; and other friends and relatives.

A family visitation will be held on June 16, 2025 from 5-8 P.M. at 1821 John Dr. Danville, Virginia
