Shelia Denise Smith

Shelia Denise Smith, 54, of 462 Cedarbrook Drive, Danville, VA, passed away, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.

Born October 24, 1966 in Danville, VA, she was the daughter James Smith Jr., who survives, and the late Mary Louise Smith.

In addition to her father, James Smith Jr., survivors include one son Raymond Hairston of Danville, VA; one daughter, Raivone Hairston of Danville, VA;  two sisters, Clara Clark and Vicky Logan; four brothers, Robin Hardrick, James Hardrick III, Tyrone Smith, and Maurice Smith; five grandchildren, Rainiah Graves, Le'Yonna Graham, Le'Nas Graham, Royalty Hairston, and Ivy Hairston; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by one brother Anthony Smith.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 1 PM from The Remnant Church of Power with Apostle Eunice Morton from House of Prayer Praise Worship Center, Eulogist. Minister Nancy Beasley, Judah House of Worship officiating. A viewing will be held 30 minutes prior to service. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. Repast will be held at The Remnant Church of Power.
