Rosa Anna (Oliver) Brooks

Rosa Anna Brooks, 80, of 3501 Kerns Church Road, Sutherlin, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at her residence.

Born April 1, 1942, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Oliver and Ella Virginia Chaney Oliver. She was married to the late John Henry Brooks, Jr.

Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Broadnax, Cassandra Brooks Betts, Latisha Brooks Cosby, and Ella Brooks Cameron; five sons, Leonard Brooks, Sr., John Wayne Brooks, Arnold Jerome Brooks, Wendell Brooks, and James Brooks; three sisters, Flossie Ann Brooks, Virginia Lorraine Williams, and Brenda K. Mclaughlin; one brother, Billy Oliver; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Odessa White and one brother, James Oliver.

The family will receive visitors at the residence. Mask are required

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:30 PM at White Stone Holiness Church with Bishop Joseph Farmer, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Wilson Funeral Services. Mask are required.
