Rodney Lamar Carter, 54, of 683 Park Avenue, Danville, VA, passed away, on Sunday December 19, 2021.
Born July 15, 1967, in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Thurman Carter Sr. and Virginia Mae Carter. He was married to Misty Carter, who survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four daughters, Tanisha Malone, Rockelle Carter, Quatisha Malone, and Johnniqua Terell; five sons, Rapheal Price, Lamar Connor (Maya), Quan Carter, Bob Dilliard, and Rodney Carter, Jr.; three sisters, Demetrius Carter, Aletha Mills, and Monica Tarpley; five brothers, Thurman Carter, Jr. (Terri) and Tyrone Carter (Stephanie), Lewis Tarpley Jr. (Shelia), Angelo Tarpley (Doris), and Dennis Tarpley (Annette); five grandchildren, Taraji Skye, Amir, Mariah, Damoni, and Jayda; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Mable Carter and one sister, Janice Carter.
Family will receive visitors at 215 Allison Drive Danville, Virginia
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 2PM at The Remnant Church of Power. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 5-7 PM at Wilson Funeral Services and Cremation, Inc. Mask are required.
