Richard Hartwell Wilson Obituary

Mr. Richard Hartwell Wilson, 90, of Ringgold, Virginia passed away Friday September 26, 2025, at his residence.


Born January 2, 1935, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia he was the son of the late Fern Wilson and Martha Gunter Wilson. He was married to Agnes Barksdale Wilson, who survives.


In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter Brenda Wilson; two sons Steve Wilson and Ryland Wilson; six sisters Della Glass, Virginia Bennett (Lewis), Frances Enoch (Robert), Margie Bowe, Gail Tatum (Lester), and Sharon Wilson; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister Mary Ferguson and five brothers Melvin Wilson, Marvin Wilson, William Wilson, Jerry Wilson, and Charles Wilson.


The family will receive visitors at the residence 1057 Old Quarry Road Ringgold Virginia


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025, at 1 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M.
