Patricia Ann Carter Martin, 78, of 704 Whispering Pines Road, Axton, Virginia passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at her residence. 

Born April 10, 1944 in Axton, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Onie Carter and Geneva Cunningham Carter. She was married to the late John Henry Martin.

Survivors include three daughters Lisa Irvin, Sheila Terrell (Jason), and Cynthia (Von) Preston; one son Lenwood Preston (Roslyn); one sister Carolyn Adell; two brothers Jay Carter and Owney Carter, Jr.; one God-daughter Joya Hairston; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by three sisters Orva Marie Carter, Betty Carter, and Alma Carter; four brothers Albert Lee Carter, James Carter, William T. Carter, and Johnnie P. Carter; and one grandson Lorenzo Shawn Preston.

The Family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 25, 2023, at 1PM at Christ's Temple United Holiness Church with Elder Leonard Thompson, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Carter Family Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday March 24, 2023 from 4-6 PM at Wilson Funeral Services and one hour prior to the service from 12 PM-1 PM at the church.
