Nora Virginia (Adams) Peatross

It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Nora V Peatross of 231 South Ridge St apt 317 Danville, VA, who passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022; at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.

Born June 11, 1937 in Caswell County, North Carolina, Nora was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Bell Adams. She was married to the late Leo Peatross.

 
Nora was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Providence, North Carolina. Nora was employed by Roman Eagle Nursing Home and Dibrell Bro's in Danville VA, for many years prior to her retirement.

Ms. Nora V Peatross leaves to cherish her beloved memories her four daughters, Priscilla Peatross and Camilla Poole (Donald) both of Danville, VA, Yvonne Fitzgerald (Ricky) of Blairs, VA, and Druscilla Slade of High Point, NC; three sisters, Willie Ann Roberts (George) of Blanch, NC, Mary Bigelow of Atlanta, GA, and Ida Bell McFall of Danville VA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by one son, Oliver G Peatross of Detroit MI; one daughter Constance D Peatross of Temple, TX; one great grandchild, Za'Kariye Peatross; three sisters, Novella Adams of Caswell Co., Barbara Dixon of Jamaican, NY, and Mary Pearl Poteat of Danville, VA; four brothers, Alexander Adams and William K Adams both of Danville, VA, Jessie Adams and Charlie Adams both of Blanch, NC.

The family will receive visitors at 245 Parkland Drive Danville, Virginia

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2 PM at Wilson Funeral Services Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mask are Required.
