Nettie Williamson Watkins, 64, of Danville, Virginia passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at VCU Health Richmond Virginia.

Born April 28, 1961, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Norman Vernon Williamson and Nettie Carter Williamson. She was married to Arthur Lee Watkins Jr.

In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters Sermica Poole (Carl), Samonia Watkins, and Sernika Watkins; one sister Idean Watkins; two brothers Carmichael Williamson and Malachi Williamson (Brenda); five grandchildren DeAnthony Poole, Carl Poole Jr., Carlos Poole, Aceyonna Watkins, and Ahmad Poole; mother in law Emma Jaunita Watkins; one brother in law Michael Watkins; two sister in laws Connie Watkins and Barbara Sharan; two devoted God-daughters Kemeka Connor and Kenisha Connor; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers Vernon Williamson, Dale Williamson, Ronald Williamson, Donald Williamson, and Kay Carter; two sisters Onnie Mae Gunn and Raynell Murphy; and father in law Arthur Lee Watkins Sr.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday June 10, 2025, at 12 noon at Wilson Funeral Services. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held Monday June 9, 2025, from 5-7 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Services.
