Nannie Kate (Price) Jones

Nannie Kate Jones, 88, of 1600 Waller Lane Dry Fork, Virginia passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at her residence.

Born February 8, 1936 in Pittsylvania County Virgina, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses Price and Bessie Taylor Price. She was married to the late Walter Lee Jones, Jr.

Survivors include four daughters Sandra Scales (Tim), Cheryl Jones, Vickie Jones, and Crystal Jones; one son Kenneth Jones; one sister Bessie Tapley; six grandchildren Stevie K. Jones, Jr., Zachary Jones, Jonathan Scales, Jason Scales, Kennedy Jones, and Shumeka Brown; six great-grandchildren Stevie K. Jones III, Veda Jones, Nora Jones, Jeremiah Hayes, Zamari Winchester, and Harmony Hayes; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son Sgt. Stevie Keith Jones, Sr.; four sisters Lucy Fitz, Barbara Echols, Roberta Lovelace, and Rosetta Price; and one brother Ulysses Price (Mike).

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 14, 2024 at 11AM at  Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Marlan Glass, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Waller Family Cemetery. A visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service.
