Mi Chong (Jeannie) Pounds, 76, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away Wednesday March 23, 2025, in Las Vegas.
Born March 29, 1948, in South Korea and after marriage to Charles (Bubba) Pounds, she moved to the United States. She is survived by her daughters: Vivian (Jermaine) Gray of Fredrick, Maryland; Carlita and Hanmi Pounds of Las Vegas, Nevada. Two brothers from Korea and her in-laws: Rev. Thomas Pounds of Ringgold, Adriane (Herman) Woodson and Alan Pounds of Danville, Michael Pounds of Washington DC, and Dale (Bertha) of Owensboro, Kentucky. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents: YU'S, one sister and two brothers of Korea predeceased her.
Mi Chong's life was characterized by her deep affection for her family, dedication to her cultural heritage, and fondness for the family dog, Biscuit.
Her story is one of courage, love, and the quiet strength that guided her through challenges of life in a new country.
Her career was in Nutritional Medicine at Ft. Richardson Air Force Base. She spent her retirement traveling and enjoying time with family.
The Memorial Service will be April 4, 2025, at 11:00am at The Remnant Ministries, 325 E. Windmill Ln. in Las Vegas.
A Live Stream will be at Wilson Funeral Service and Cremation Inc. 179 Piney Forest Rd Danville Va 24540 on April 4, at 2:00 pm for family and friends.
