Melvin Mason

Melvin Mason, 74, of 142 Elon Place Danville, Virginia passed away Wednesday January 11, 2023 at his residence.

Born June 27, 1948 he was the son of the late Green Thornton and Mandy Mason. He was married to Gloria Mason, who survives.

In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by one son Charles Mason; one sister Lisa Mason; one granddaughter Jewelle Alexia; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter Vonda Garland and one brother Lawerance Mason.

He was a Veteran of The United States Army.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 16, 2023, at 1PM at  Bibleway Cathedral. Interment with military rites will follow in Highland Burial Park. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday January 16, 2023.
