Larry Darnell Conley, 72, of Danville, Virginia passed away Saturday August 2, 2025, at Sovah Health Danville.

Born September 1, 1952, in Ringgold, Virginia, he was the son of the late Homer Conley and Louise Overby Conley. He was married to the late Jacqueline Sparks Conley.

Survivors include one daughter Shecorie Conley- Brooks (Anthony); one son Gregory Logan; six sisters Christine Arnold - Ford (Wilbert), Thelma Conley- Pyles (Bobby), Deborah Conley-Williams, Virginia Conley- Huber (Donnie), Gaynell Conley, Belinda Conley - Goss (Derrick) and brothers, James Conley Sr. (Wanda), Alvin Conley and Royal Hunt; one granddaughter Khayla Reynolds; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Williams, Mary Geneva Deshazor, Marjorie Lee Strothers and Jewell Arlene Pyles and brothers Charley Wilbert Conley, Robert Homer Conley and Carl Event Conley. 

Larry joined Pleasant Chapel Baptist church at an early age.  He was educated in Caswell County North Carolina public schools. Larry was a long-time employee at Dan River Mills. 

Larry never met a stranger.  Although soft spoken, Larry was passionate about building strong relationships with family and friends, who remember him as a kindhearted and trusted friend.  In his spare time, Larry enjoyed hand dancing and visiting friends and relatives. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Services Chapel.
