Kennon Bland Jr.

Kennon Bland Jr., 85, of Danville Virginia passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at his residence.

Born October 4, 1939, in Lawrenceville, Virginia he was the son of the late Kennon Bland Sr. and Virgie Harrison Bland. He was married to Vivian Bland, who survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include one son Kennon Alexander P. Bland (Antoinette); one sister Shirley Bland; two grandchildren Bakari A.A. Bland and Derrick James; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Nelson Bland.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday March 14, 2025, at 12 noon at White Rock Baptist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service with the family present. Interment will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025, at 3:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville Virginia.
