Karen Payne Cockran, 64, of Danville, Virginia, passed away Saturday March 2, 2024 at Sovah Health Danville.

Born September 29, 1959 in Danville Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Payne and Wilsie Landrum Payne.

Survivors include one daughter Angela Cockran; two sons Douglas Cockran (Candice) and Adam Cockran; one sister Kathy White; two brothers Kenneth Payne (Tammy) and Karl Payne (Pam); seven grandchildren Camden, Riley, Alexis, Katie, Kesley, Jackson, and Gracie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at 2PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Yeaman, officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 7-8PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
