Josephine Carter

Josephine Carter, 56, of Ringgold Virginia passed away Friday,  April 18, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. 

Born January 25, 1969, in Ringgold Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Jay Carter and Florence Carter. 

Survivors include five children: Le’Kenneth Jay Carter and Florence Janay Jackson of Winston Salem, NC; Brianna Alexis Carter of Durham, NC; Djon McLionel Garland and Sarah Rochelle Garland of Richmond, VA. 

Three grandchildren: Kai Seriah Garland, Carly Jhene’ Polk, and Nevaeh Selah Garland. Eight siblings: Leon Carter of Atlanta, GA; Shirley Clark of Maryland; John Carter (Gloria) of Martinsville, VA; Brian Carter (Lisa) of Ringgold, VA; Beatrice Scott, Mae Berta Carter, Jeanette Walker, and Raymond Carter, Sr. (Cynthia) of Danville, VA.

She is survived by a host of godchildren, relatives, and friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, 11A.M at Christ Miracle Temple 785 Edmonds Street Danville, VA 24541.
