John Henry Edmondson

John Henry Edmondson received his Heavenly wings August 14, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones at his residence.

He was born September 26, 1957, in Halifax County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Phillip Edmondson and Sophronia Harris Edmondson. He was married to Carolyn Brandon Edmondson, who survives.

Survivors include two daughters Carmen Edmondson and Te'Sarah Edmondson; one son Brandon Edmondson; six sisters Alberta Clark of Washington, D.C., Delores Lipscomb of Scottsburg, Virginia, Odessa Pyles (Ray) of Washington, Maryland, Precillia Simon (Ted) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Melva Edmondson of Brandy Wine, Maryland, and Mary Wright (Bill) of Scottsburg, Virginia; two brothers Earl Edmondson (Ruby) of Woodbridge, Virginia and Charles Edmondson of Scottsburg, Viginia; one granddaughter Ciana Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters Nora Clark of Alexandria, Virginia and Dorothy Thomas of Maryland; and two brothers Robert Harris of Milton, North Carolina and Phillip Edmondson Jr. of Scottsburg, Virginia.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Scottsburg, Virginia.
