Jimmy Lee Townes

Jimmy Lee Townes, 64, of Danville, Virginia passed away Friday December 27, 2024, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born February 4, 1960, in Chatham Virginia he was the son of the late Chester Townes and Alberta Barbour, who survives.

In addition to his mother survivors include one daughter Fredricka Word; three sons Christion Word, Cordarrell Word, and Tyrese Hamlett; four sisters Dorothy Martin, Vonzie Townes, Pearlona Fitzgerald (Thomas), and Charlene Broadnax (James); five brothers John Martin (Janet), Carrollee Martin (Charlotte), Tate Martin, Sylvester Townes (Carole) and Chester Townes (Pauline); thirteen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers Wallace Martin and Sammy Townes.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 4, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Truth and Worship Outreach Ministries.
