James William Davis, 78, of Ringgold Virginia passed away Saturday August 3, 2024, at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 26, 1945, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia he was the son of the late Jessie Davis and Lonnie Mae Ferrell Davis. He was married to the late Phyllis Pounds Davis.

Survivors include three daughters Phyllis Davis, Nicole Barbour (Bernard), and Patricia Wilson (Saunders); two sons James Thomas and Edward Thomas; one sister Lissie Hood; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by three sisters Rosa Ann Davis, Dorothy Davis, and Rena Fallen; and five brothers Willie Davis, Charlie Davis, Freddie Davis, Sammy Davis, and Albert Davis.

The Family will receive visitors at 602 Doe Street Danville, Virginia

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Laurel Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Percy L. Pass, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 4:00- 6:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Services.
