Herman Lee Wimbush Sr. 78, of Danville Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Lewis Gale in Salem, Virginia.

Born December 31, 1947, in Danville, Virginia he was the son of the late Firzzell Wimbush and Lucy Adams Wimbush. He was married to Joyce Ann Wimbush, who survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters Michelle Patrick, Constance Henderson (Stephen), Kizzy Graves (Marte); one son Herman Lee Wimbush, Jr; two sisters Shirley Crosby, Emily Wimbush; four brothers Authur Wimbush (Belinda), Clifton Wimbush (Alberta), Donald Wimbush, Frizzell Wimbush; eight grandchildren Marquitta Stephens, Destinee Henderson, Deqwontez McMoore, Harmeir Wimbush, Zion Wimbush, Skyler Mindak, Brayden Quensberry; two great grandchildren Janaisa Stephens, Trenton Fredricks; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends and family at 220 Parkland Dr., Danville, VA 24540.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 12 noon at Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation.
