George Albert Weatherford

Mr. George Albert Weatherford, 82, of Danville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Sovah Health Danville.

Born July 20, 1942, in Danville, Virginia he was the son of the late Haywood Weatherford Sr. and Frances Long Weatherford.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon W Dones, Beverly R. Weatherford and Chesley K. Stephens (James); one brother, Rev. Haywood Weatherford, Jr. (Rosina); two grandchildren, Anndrea R. Dones and Joel Stephens; four great-grandchildren, Katelynn D. Dones,  Aydan E. Dones,  Andrew J. Scott and BrielleJoi Stephens; one niece, Joy Weatherford Jackson; one nephew, Sean Weatherford; special cousins, Ann Weatherford, Jimmie Weatherford, Sr. and Earl (Enemene) Long, and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his grandson, JaMall E. Dones, and his former wife, Magaline D. Weatherford.

The family will receive visitors "ONLY" on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 2PM - 6PM at 245 Brentwood Dr. Danville, VA. 24540.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 12 Noon, from Wilson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Haywood Weatherford, Jr., Eulogist. A public viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
