Freddie Shay Evans,87, of Danville VA passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at his home.
Born May 22, 1938, in Pelham, NC he was the son of the late Joseph O. Evans and Thelma Adams Evans. He was married to Shirley Clifton Evans, who survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters Holly Talbott (Brandon), Briana Budgin (Jason); one son Freddie S. Evans (Sandy); one sister Frances White; five grandchildren Christopher Evans (Ashley), Leah Johnson (Stephen), Neal Talbott, Emma Budgin, Oliver Budgin; one great grandchild Patrick Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Evans.
To honor Mr. Evans wishes the family has chosen to have no formal services at this time.
