Fred Douglas Crawley Sr., 87, of 623 Franklin Street Danville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Sovah Health Danville. 

Born June 1, 1936, in Danville, Virginia he was the son of the late Eva Crawley. He was married to Bernice Carter Crawley who survives. 

In addition to his wife survivors include one son Fred Crawley Jr. (Gia Williams); one daughter Keturah Yancey (Jason); eight grandchildren Jason Yancey Jr., Ryan Yancey, Cameron Yancey, Noel Crawley, Kristina Coles, Atwin Williams, Ayana Williams, and Desmond Virgil; one great grandchild Yasmin Yancey; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by one son Rev Lawerence Carter and five siblings. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 12pm to 5pm with family present from 12pm to 2pm at Wilson Funeral Service Chapel.
