Fannie Prunty Carter, 83, of 295 Grant St Danville, VA, departed this world for her heavenly home on Saturday January 29, 2022, at her residence.
Born June 2, 1938, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy Waller Prunty. She was married to the late John Carter Sr.
Survivors include six sons, John Carter Jr, Tommy Carter (Janet), Martin Carter, Terry Carter (Donna), Calvin Carter (Ylonda), Ellis Carter; two daughters, Lorna Thomas, and Valerie Lewis (Charles); one bonus son Rodney Cobbs; four sisters, Jane Carter, Buelah Morrison, Betty Wooding, and Grace Williams; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Barbara Carter; seven sisters, Margaret Berger, Lois Clements, Catherine Payne, Bernice Prunty, Mary Ann Prunty, Theo Prunty, and Augusta Prunty; and three brothers, Elwood Prunty, Jack Prunty, and Lawrence Prunty.
The Family will receive visitors at the residence from 2PM- 8PM. Mask are required.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2PM at Highland Burial Park.
