Emma D. Glass, 72, of 141 Benefield St., Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at her residence.
Born July 7, 1948 in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Willie Cobbs Sr. and Lessie Ferguson Cobbs. She was married to the late Frank Glass.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Kirby (Derrick) and Tracy Glass; one son Dennis Glass; two sisters, Mary Fitzgerald and Lorene Glass; five brothers, Willie Cobbs Jr., Clyde Cobbs, Jimmy Cobbs, Lawrence Cobbs, and Robert Cobbs; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by two bothers, Roger Edward Cobbs and James Cobbs.
The family will receive visitors at the residence of her daughter Darlene Kirby, 1415 Green Farm Rd. Danville, VA
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 1 PM from Kentuck Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing will be held, Monday, February 22, 2021 from 4-6 PM at Wilson Funeral Services & Cremation, Inc. Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a limit of 10 people at a time. Mask are required.
