Elsie Marion King, 95, of Blairs, Virginia passed away Friday July 19, 2024, at Sovah Health Danville.

Born April 11, 1929, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jones and Minnie Adams Jones. She was married to the late Frank D. King, Sr.

Survivors include three daughters Dale Echols (Ronnie), Linda Echols, and Cynthia Thacker (Marcus); one sister Geraldine Hunt; three brothers Rev. Nathaniel Jones, Freddie Jones, Therman Jones (Eleanor); ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by four sons James Clark, Frank King Jr, Avery King, and Lionel King; two sisters Elizebeth Bennett (Wister), and Frances J. Bennett (Henry); and two brothers Herman Jones (Margo- who survives) and Rev. Floyd Jones (Jean- who survives).

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2024, at 11 A.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Reginald Carter, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held on Monday July 22, 2024 from 5-7 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Services.
