Eldridge Lee Cobbs Jr.

Eldridge Lee Cobbs Jr., 71, of Danville, Virginia passed away Thursday January 22, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born July 15, 1954 in Danville, Virginia he was the son of the late Eldridge Lee Cobbs Sr. and Gladys Woods Vaden. He was married to Edith Edmonds Cobbs, who survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons Eldridge L. Cobbs III (Boronical), Marcus A. Cobbs Sr. and Micah T. Cobbs; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one sister Jo Caroll Cobbs and four brothers Charles A. Cobbs, Michael R. Cobbs, David Chandler, and Bernard Chandler.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 30, 2026 at Bible Way Cathedral at 12 P.M. Interment will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M.
