Elbert Tapley Jr.

Mr. Elbert Tapley, Jr., 90, of Dry Fork, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Sovah Health Danville.

Born July 4, 1933, in Blairs, Virginia, he was the son of the late Elbert Tapley, Sr. and Thelma Fitzgerald Tapley. He was married to Bessie Price Tapley, who survives.

He was a Veteran of The United States Army.

In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by three daughters Annette Jones, Lisa Jones, and Dawn Jones; God-daughter Joanne Cockram; God- son Andy Chambers; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother Joseph Lewis Tapley.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday June 16, 2024, at 2 PM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 5- 7 PM at Wilson Funeral Services.
