Earnest Lee Wilson Sr.

Earnest Lee Wilson Sr., 86, of 1509 Washington Street, Danville, VA, passed away, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his residence.

Born September 08, 1934 in Pittsylvania County, VA, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ester Wiles Wilson. He was married to Rosa Motley Wilson, who survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Juanita Wells of New York and Deborah Wallace (Michael) of Raeford, NC; four sons, Earnest L. Wilson, Jr. ( Glorietta) of San Diego, CA, Sammy R. Wilson ( Christina) of Danville, VA, Tony A. Wilson ( Debbie) of Danville, VA, and Shawn D. Wilson ( Marlo) of North Carolina; a grandson that he reared as his son, Eric Wilson (Nakiesta) of Blairs, VA; one brother Wilmer Wilson ( Shirley) of Manassas, VA; two sisters, Irene Fitzgerald, of Danville, VA and Carolyn Bradshaw ( Kelvin) of Martinsville, VA; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one daughter, Pamela Wilson Onyemem; two sisters, Dorothy Craig and Pearl Pannell; five brothers, Thomas Wilson, Roy Wilson, Jerle Wilson, Jack Wilson and Clarence Wilson.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1 PM at Bibleway Cathedral with the Rev. Jonathan L. King, Sr. Eulogist. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.  A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 4-7 PM at Wilson Funeral Services and Cremation, Inc.
