Dorothy Jean Hailstock,76, of Danville Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Sovah Health of Danville.

Born January 28, 1950, in Pittsylvania County she was the daughter of the late James Walker Sr. and Beatrice Logan Walker. She was married to Napoleon Hailstock Sr., who survives. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother James Earnest Logan.

She leaves to cherish her memory in addition to her husband, a daughter Shelby Hailstock-Richardson; three sons Timothy (Arlethia) Hailstock, Napoleon “Leon” (Roberta Mae) Hailstock Jr., Anthony (Laquita) Hailstock; six grandchildren Timothy Hailstock II, Jeremiah Hailstock, Kalia Sanae Hailstock, Rayla Madison Hailstock, Langston August Hailstock, Lyric Julianna Hailstock; three sisters Shirley Ann Washington, Nancy Waller, Sandra Walker; two brothers James Walker Jr., Bryant Keith Walker; one sister-in-law Doris Jean Logan; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home 1517 Claiborne Street Danville, VA 24540 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 05, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at Mt Carmel Baptist Church, 300 Terry Ave. Danville, VA 24540. Interment will follow in the Danville Memorial Burial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 11:00 PM to 12:00 PM Pastor Patrick Keene will be the Eulogist.
