Destiny Dawanda Johnson

Destiny DaWanda Johnson, 26, of Danville, Virginia passed away Thursday June 12, 2025, at The University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Born November 18, 1998, in Petersburg Virginia, she was the daughter of Loressa Johnson. She was married to Jimmy Wortham Jr.

In addition to her mother Loressa Johnson, father Robert Garner and husband Jimmy Wortham Jr., survivors include one daughter Lyrik Wortham; one son Legacy Wortham; one brother Devon Cruz Johnson; grandparents Carl Coleman and Lillie Coleman; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother Justin Johnson.

Services will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Sunny Level Baptist Church. Repast to follow in church fellowship hall.
