Obituary
David Saunders, 73, of 508 Doe Street Danville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at his residence.
Born May 19, 1949, in Caswell County, NC he was the son of the late James "Beece" Saunders and Susie "Missy" Jeffries Saunders. He was married to Ann Saunders, who survives.
In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include four sons David Saunders, Jr. (Melissa) of Brunswick, MD, Adrian Saunders (Ellisah), Anthony Saunders, and Derrick Saunders all of Danville, VA; one daughter Latoya Gunn of Burlington, NC; four sisters Susie Earnest (Earnest), Mamie Allen, Mary Ann Dodson, and Luella Dukes; one brother Sterling Saunders (Rebecca); fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters Nannie Johnson, Dorothy Newman, and Flossie Saunders; and three brothers Walter Saunders, James Saunders, and Lawyer Saunders.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
The family will receive visitors at the residence.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday November 18, 2022, at Truth and Worship Outreach Ministries at 1PM. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held on Thursday November 17, 2022, from 5-7 PM at Wilson Funeral Services.
