Charles Ebert McCain, 71, of Danville, Virginia passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at his residence.


Born April 24, 1952, in New York he was the son of the late Bobbie McCain and Catherine Williamson McCain. He was married to Laura Saunders McCain, who survives.


In addition to his wife survivors include two daughters Candice Gwynn (Tyrone) and Carmen McCain; four sisters Patricia Kelly (Jimmy), Brenda McCain, Bobbie Jean McCain, and Teresa McCain; one brother Elbert McCain; seven grandchildren Rayne McCain, Ryleah McCain, Torrian Hairston, Courtney Hairston, Treymond McCain, Heaven McCain, and Shane Mayhew; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter Courtney McCain; two sisters Carolyn Martin and Vanessa McCain; and one brother Mark Anthony McCain.


The family will receive visitors at the residence of his daughter Candice Gwynn at 154 Cumberland Drive Danville, VA daily from 12-8pm only.


A memorial service will be held on Friday February 2, 2024, at 1 PM at Greater United Apostolic Church with Bishop John E. Coles, Eulogist.
