Arnell Nannie (Wimbush) Towler

Arnell Nannie Towler, 94, of Danville Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 16, 1931, in Halifax Virginia she was the daughter of the late George Wimbish and Nannie Wade McLaughlin Wimbish. She was married to the late Hobson Towler Sr.

Survivors include two daughters Ardena Towler Bigelow and Vanessa Towler Davis; four sons Hobson Richard Towler Jr. (Deborah), Clifton Towler (Lurnetta), James E. Towler and David H. Towler (Sally); one brother Earl Wimbush; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by six sisters Sarah Wimbish, Elizabeth Palmer, Rebecca Caldwell, Mary Wimbish, Ruby Lee and Loonie Richardson; and one brother George Wimbush.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 1, 2025, at 2 P.M. at New Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to service from 1:30 P.M. to 2 P.M.
