Archie Lee Akers,62, of Danville Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 08, 2026, at his home.
Born March 27, 1964, in Danville VA, he was the son of the late Archie Akers Sr. and Martha Chattin Akers. He was married to Janice Akers, who survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters Angel Hadnot (Chaukus), Alesha Akers; one son Archie Akers Jr.; three sisters Martha Ann Akers and Margie Penn (John), Pam Taylor; three brothers James Akers (Bonnie), Johnnie Akers (Iris), Kelvin Taylor; two sisters in laws Celeste Akers, Lottie Akers; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by two brother Asa Akers and Willie Akers.
The family will receive family and friends at 201 Briarwood Dr, Danville, VA 24540 from 4-8 pm.
There will be a public viewing at Wilson’s Funeral Service and Cremation on Tuesday July 14, 2026, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 12 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Flora Hills Memorial Garden. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 11PM to 12 PM.
