Angela Lee Merritt

Angela Lee Merritt, 59, of 324 Seeland Road Apt. A, passed away Sunday September 17, 2023 at her residence.

Born October 8, 1963 in Danville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Harry Sutherlin and Irene Johnson Merritt. She was married to the late Mathia Rogers Calloway.

Survivors include two daughters Tangela McClary (Kenneth) and Sangela Merritt (Thomas); seven sisters Janie Stephens (Redman), Valeria Jordan (Steve), Rita White, Mary Ann Williams, Burnetta Calloway (Billy), Teresa Merritt (Lawrence), and Pamela Merritt; one brother Jimmy Merrit (Stephanie); two grandchildren Isaiah Ferrell and Ni'Angela Boyd; special friend Gregory Penn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sisters Linda Merritt and Jennifer Beavers.

The family will receive visitors at the residence.

Service and visitation will be held on Saturday September 23, 2023 at 4 PM at Wilson Funeral Services Chapel.
