Andrew Hairston Obituary

Mr. Andrew “Andy” Hairston, of 803 Stuart Street Lynchburg, Va passed away on September 21, 2024, in Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg Va at the young age of 69. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.


Born July 7, 1955, in Danville, Va. He was the son of the late Willie Lee and Margaret Deshazor Hairston. He is married to Pandora Estella Hairston, who survives. He served as a Master HVAC technician around Lynchburg and surrounding areas for most of his career. He was a die-hard Washington Commanders (Redskins) Fan.


Andrew was known as a kind and generous man who had a heart of gold with a great sense of humor. He was also loving family man. In addition to his wife, Pandora, he leaves to mourn one daughter Tammie Anette Hairston, three grandchildren, Breona Janae Smith, Alaijah Carlesa Molette, and Tahj Andrew Molette, two sisters Clara Mae Wilson and Margie (Fred) Allen, one brother Jerry Lee Hairston a special niece who was more like a little sister to him Gwendolyn (Niecy) Lanier, and a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister Willie Jane Mayo and grandparents Belle and Leroy Deshazor.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2 P.M. at Bible Way Cathedral with Rev. Judy Fallen, Eulogist. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
