Alberta (Cardwell) Wilson

Alberta Cardwell Wilson, 84, of 1888 Fall Creek Drive, Danville, VA, passed away, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Sovah Health Danville, VA.

Born August 15, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Cardwell and Alina Newby Cardwell. She was married to the late Jerle Junior Wilson.

Survivors include three daughters, Patsy Pritchett (Gary), Jacquline Stephens, and Nancy Waller all of Danville, VA; two sons Leroy Wilson of Fredericksburg, VA and Ricky Wilson of Martinsville, VA; one brother, Bernard Womack; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four sisters, Mae Pearl Echols, Mary Lee McLaughlin, Catherine Buchanan, and Beulah Davis; three brothers, Willie RC Cardwell, Troy Jones, and Bubba Cardwell; and one son in law, Warren Stephens.

The family will receive visitors at the home of her granddaughter Monick Jennings at 826 Piney Forest Road, Danville, VA . Mask are required.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday November 22, 2021 at 2 PM at Bibleway Cathedral with Elder Phillip Campbell, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday November 21, 2021 from 3-6 PM at Wilson Funeral Services and Cremation, Inc.
