Agnes Marie (Throckmorton) Hackney

Agnes Hackney, 89, of Halifax Virginia passed away Saturday December 27, 2025 at her residence.

Born February 29, 1936 in Halifax County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Herbert Throckmorton and Evenlyn Throckmorton. She was married to the late Frank B. Hackney.

Survivors include three daughters Brinda Satterfield, Vicki Satterfield, and Wanda Hackney; three sons James "Rebel" Satterfield, Kenneth Satterfield, and Ernest Hackney; one brother Alton Throckmorton; a host grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son Bobby Satterfield and three sisters Margaret Burton, Livian Layne, and Linda Marshall and four brothers Alex, Ernest, Joel, and Louis Throckmorton.

Services will be private.
